Our Client's products are used for industrial mechanization and automation. These products can be found in applications involving compressed air and other gases.

Our Client has been established in the UK since 1978 with Head Offices based in Milton Keynes. The Milton Keynes site has been extensively extended to cover around 15 acres and includes sales centre, manufacturing, administration and training facility. Part of the site is now occupied by the European Technical Centre.
Objectives
? Answering technical questions promptly and accurately. ? Providing innovative, cost effective solutions for customer applications. ? Building technical credibility and good relationships with our subsidiaries and customers. Transferring technical expertise to improve product knowledge in subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
? Reviewing requests for customised existing pneumatic products from sales to ensure specification is clear and viable. ? Working with designers to create concept designs of customised existing products to meet customer's request. ? Occasionally creating detailed parts drawings for prototype testing with designer. ? Carrying out testing of pneumatic products. ? Responsible for ensuring timely completion of own projects. ? Participation on larger projects with supervision from senior Engineer. ? Provide technical product support to client European subsidiaries. ? Visiting customers to determine technical requirements for special products. ? Participating in technical market research activities. ? Technical support concerning directives and standards relevant to pneumatic products (mainly Pressure equipment directive, ATEX, machinery safety standards) (Prior knowledge not essential).
Required
? Mechanical Engineering degree 2: 1 or better preferred ? Experience in design of small mechanical components ? Ability to work as part of a multicultural team ? Experience in writing technical reports ? Experience of working with customers or suppliers ? Able to travel to European customers when required ? Minimum 2 years relevant experience ? PC skills minimum MS Office, CAD package.
Desirable
? European language skills. ? PC skills Lotus Notes, AutoCAD, CATIA.
Upto £30k plus Pension / Healthcare / Bonus / 20 days holiday rising to 25 one day a year
